Lyon no. 3.

Date active 1785-1787
Biographical NotesAnonymous author of dissertation number 3 of the prize contest of the Académie de Lyon (1785-87). The submission was judged by the reviewer, count Laurencin, as "Poorly thought through, poorly written. The spelling errors were what shocked me the least."
In the folder, there are two letters enquiring about the fate of this submission, signed by one Lourmand, a student in theology. He enquires "for the young man" whose "weak talents" are presented in this piece. Lourmand might be the author of the dissertation; however, the writing of the letter and that of the dissertation itself doesn't appear to be the same.
