|Biographical Notes||Of Westmorland. Matriculated into Queen's College 17 Dec., 1585, aged 16. Graduated B.A. 12 July, 1589, and M.A. 7 July, 1592. Was proctor 1601, B. and D.D. 8 July, 1607. Canon of Hereford 1603, vicar of Lindridge, co. Worcester, 1604, rector of Aka alias Rock, co. Worcester, 1607, made his will 16 Sept., 1647, proved 31 May, 1648. His only printed work seems to be A Sermon preached at Paules Crosse the Seaventh of May MDCIX (1609). This work indicates that this preacher was loosely associated with the Virginia Company enterprise. This text emphasizes the importance of converting Virginia Indians to the Protestant faith.
