Biographical NotesBritish bookseller, radical Whig, and politician. Worked alongside his younger brother John Churchill from 1690. Known as the publisher of Locke’s works, but the 'Collection of Voyages', first published in 1704, is his best known production. One of the most important editors of his time, he accumulated an impressive fortune. Served as a member of parliament 1705-1710.
